Chris Bubany & Friends Gallery

Chris Bubany will be holding her 25th Annual Holiday Marketplace on November 2 and 3 at Harlow Gardens. Chris started this show in her home in 1974 when she was just starting to paint ceramic tableware. She thought it would be a good way for her friends to see the new work that she was creating. She teamed up with another talented designer, they invited a few crafty friends to join them and a show was born! After having the show in her home for two years she realized that it was too hard on her home to have a lot of people walking through, so on the 3rd year it was moved to a different location and in 2005 Chris moved the show to its current location at Harlow Gardens, Tucson's oldest nursery. This was a great move! Harlow’s is beautifully laid out with meandering sidewalks throughout the colorful nursery. Harlow's rearranges their displays to accommodate a lot of Chris' ceramics as well as the art of 55 other artists. This show is frequently mentioned as the best art show in Tucson in the prettiest setting. With art set among the lovely plants and flowers, it makes for a very pleasant shopping experience just in time for the holidays.
