After making the move to Tucson in 2014, Pisik decided to expand her artistic endeavors and developed a workshop that teaches this highly original and unusual art form. Back in August of 2014 she presented the concept to several exclusive resorts and country clubs and the “Inspiration Under Glass” workshop was born. Since then, Pisik’s workshop is featured weekly at Miraval Resort & Spa and monthly at La Paloma Country Club, The Lodge at Ventana Canyon and at Skyline Country Club
Tucson Happenings is devoted to our local artists and have been publishing monthly artist profiles for years. This page will list many artists that have profiled since we went digital in May of 2015.

Tucson Audubon Society’s 8th annual Southeast Arizona Birding Festival, presented by Carl Zeiss Sports Optics, takes place August 8–12. Hosted at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Tucson - Reid Park this event is the region’s premier birding experience. The onsite Nature Expo is an excellent way for locals and visitors to learn about birds and other southeast Arizona wildlife, and shop the vendor fair while escaping the summer heat.S

This origami "Crazy Face Bookmark" is easy to fold from a simple square of paper, and it can be decorated in as many ways as you can imagine. Each one can be unique by using different shapes, colors and adding as many interesting elements as you choose.

If your family is like mine, summer is only half over, yet their bathing suits and sandals are absolutely trashed. And truthfully, my own bathing suits are calling it quits too. Between the summer sun, high temperatures and pool chemicals, clothing just doesn’t last very long. With another month to go, there are plenty of bargains to take advantage of that will get you and yours through the season looking good if you know where to look!
